Mindstorm Robotics Invention System allowing for a visual approach
to the analysis of embedded systems. Their project, "Modular Embedded
Systems Software Design,"conducted under the guidance of Prof. David
B. Stewart and Thomas Carley, was one of three to receive Honorable
Mention in the MERIT Prize competition. |

Dielectircs for Wide Bandgap Power Devices," was conducted under

and Tolga Girici. Chafi and Tarapani were one of three groups selected
to receive the MERIT Prize for outstanding research. |

Ryan Huber and Latise
Parker explain details of their project "Integrating a Radio
in CMOS Technology." The focus of Huber and Parker 's research
was the design and implementation of a radio communications system
with discrete components. The project supervisors were Prof. Ralph
Etienne-Cummings and Prof. Timmer Horiuchi. |

from the Global Positioning System as feedback for controling navigation.

Honorable Mention in the MERIT Prize competition for his work on microelectromechanical
systems. His project, "Design of MEMS-based Capacitive Microphone,"
was directed by Prof. Rez Ghodssi (UMCP), Dr. M. Dubey of the Army
Research Laboratory, and Yinyin Zhao (UMCP). |
